Whelping Services
Thank you for considering us to whelp your litter. I know there are a lot of questions that usually come up — what we offer, how we handle sanitation, and what to expect overall. Stay on this page and I’ll explain everything. Our whelping services are fairly priced and straightforward — no hidden fees, no surprises.
Whelping & Labor Support
Hands on monitoring and support throughout labor, with experience recognizing normal progression versus when intervention or vet care may be needed. Dams are closely observed before, during and immediately after whelping.
Sanitation Protocols (daily & in-between litters)
We have strict cleaning and sanitizing protocols daily to reduce disease risks. Whelping areas are cleaned multiple times a day depending on the mess. In-between litters we scrub, sanitize with steam and disinfect.
Nutrition & Daily Care
High quality food is provided (whatever you feed) or I can offer some recommendations, along with daily care tailored to pregnancy, lactation, and recovery. Puppies receive appropriate care, and routine deworming. I also take the pups to the vets at 6 weeks for check ups, and vaccines, you are more than welcome to attend.
Puppy Raising & Development
Daily hands on care from birth through go home age (8 weeks), most pups go back to you around 7 weeks 5 days to prepare for their final homes. They also receive ENS/ESI and age-appropriate exposure to support confident, stable pups.
24/7 Monitoring & Care
Dams & litters are monitored around the clock during critical periods, especially leading up to labor and the neonatal stage. I personally sleep in the whelping room once I see the temp drop and the first week (or two) depending on the care the dam and pups need.
Structured Enviroment
Dams arrive prior to labor to acclimate to their surroundings, reducing stress during delivery. Puppies are raised in a controlled, climate-regulated environment, designed specifically for whelping and early development. This also means dams will be x-rayed with my repro vet at 55-57 days to confirm amount.
